Appendix A: Organizational Expectations

The Association of Former Students Organizational Expectations

We put the best interest of the organization ahead of our personal interests. (Sometimes doing the right thing for the organization may be inconvenient or may cause more work for us, but we do it anyway!)

We exist to serve Former Students, Students, and Texas A&M University. (Without them, we have no organization.)

We are the Aggie Network and we are powered by the Aggie Spirit. (We strive to show pride, fellowship, tradition, excellence, commitment, friendship, loyalty, dedication, integrity, service, and respect in all we do. These are our guiding principles.)

We function as a team and do what is necessary to serve our customers. (EVERYTHING is in our job description. If the phone rings, we answer it. If there is trash on the ground we pick it up. If someone looks lost, we greet him or her and help them.)

We communicate and show respect for each other. (We need to talk to each other and work out any differences. Through open communication, we can resolve any problem.)

We do whatever it takes to make The Association of Former Students the best alumni organization in the country.
