Communication: Niki Bisor reporting

Changes to the website have still not been completed. Communication problems between the communications chair and the website coordinator have delayed the updates. As of 7/16/01, future changes and their schedule of completeness will be sent to the committee as those decisions are made.

 

Constitution & By-Laws: Ken Robinson reporting

The adopted version of the constitution is available for review on the BlackAggies.org website.

 

 

New Business

1.     Election Mailout - The election mailout is scheduled for 8/3/01. Also, socials held in Dallas and Houston during the period of late August and early September would allow for disseminating information. The following items are needed for the mail out:

·        Letter from Ken and Chris explaining the BFSN, the past events of the BFSN steering committee, and the need for leadership for the BFSN to continue.

·        Letter from the Association of Former Students

·        Schedule of Election Events

·        Dues Sheet explaining the need for dues, the amount, and a tear-off portion to send the dues back.

·        Nomination Form

·        Election Procedures (campaign rules, process, and candidate requirements and expectations, etc.)

·        Tentative Agenda for the February 2002 meeting.

2.     February 2002 Meeting - During the election weekend there will be a meeting in College Station to allow the BFSN body to get to know the candidates. Any member that from the BFSN body who meets the candidate qualifications will be allowed to run for a position. There will also be a social or mixer on Election Day evening to conclude the Election Day activities.

3.     Campaign Events - The following is a tentative list of campaign events:

·        August 3, 2001 - Election Mailout

·        Late August - Early September - Dallas & Houston Socials

·        October 20, 2001 - "Meet the Candidates" meeting in College Station.

·        December 31, 2001 - Candidate Filing Deadline

·        February 2, 2001 - Election Day Events
